On the 2nd day of the tour, you will leave early morning to visit the glorious Tiger Hill, it is traditionally known as Gangz La. This hill is best known for its dazzling views of the sunrise early morning in the lofty snow-capped mountaintops of Kanchenjunga. The wonderful view of mountains sitting amongst cotton clouds entices tourists to Tiger Hill from all over the globe.
After that you would be visiting, Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. These two attractions also hold great significance. Ghoom Monastery is the oldest Tibetan Monastery of Darjeeling and perched at a high elevation. This shrine is a part belonging to the Yellow Hat sect known as Gelupka who worships the 'Coming Buddha' or 'Maitreya Buddha'. The monastery has a 15 ft statue of Lord Buddha as one of its main attractions. Later, move towards another prominent attraction to visit on the same day is Batasia Loop- it is a fascinating lush green toy train pathway loop. Indulge in some tasty breakfast and then board on an expedition to Kalimpong which is another famous hill station in the state of West Bengal. Kalimpong is a scenic town and located at an average elevation of 4,101 ft above sea level and the chief town on a ridge area joining two hills. Due to its brilliant natural beauty and stimulating climate, this place is no less than a bliss. It will take 2 hours and 15 mins to reach Kalimpong.
On reaching, you will check in to the pre-booked hotel. Relax for a while and freshen up yourself. Later, you would be swiftly heading to a sightseeing tour of Kalimpong. Under this, you will be visiting Deolo Hill- the hill is also the highest point and gives the great panoramic view of Kalimpong. It is also known as Changu Lake is actually a glacial lake that derives its waters from the melting snow of the mountains around it. Enveloped by vertical snow-capped mountains and resting between an intense green carpet of alpine forests, the appealing beauty of Tsogmo Lake is bound to leave you in surprise. It is also a home of numerous migratory birds. Being a prominent tourist place, the banks of the lake have shops vending jewellery and Yak cheese. So, you can buy some for yourself and for friends.
